The Political Future of Iran

September 6, 2012

CyberDissidents.org would like to encourage our audience interested in Iran and the Middle East to participate in CUNY BA’s Conference on October 17th, 2012.

CUNY Baccalaureate is organizing a conference on the Political Future of Iran. We invited faculty, commentators, journalists and students with first-hand experience on Iran. Our guests will share their expertise to further the understanding of current events in the country. We will attempt to cover a broad range of issues concerning modern Iran, from its youth movement, the society, and current political challenges, to the geopolitics and larger historical context.

Among our speakers are Iranian journalist and political dissident Roozbeh MirEbrahimi, Laura Secor of the New Yorker, NYU Professor Arang Keshavarzian, Baruch College Professor Ervand Abrahamian, and Barry Rosen, State Department Press Attaché in Tehran in 1979 and hostage during the 1979-80 crisis.
